毎月第3日曜日は Sacred Harp の歌会です。あわせて、もう一つの四形譜歌集『Shenandoah Harmony』からも歌っています。
両歌集の楽譜はオンラインで公開されていますので参考にもなります。
一般の教会賛美歌集ではあまり見かけないような曲もあります。例えば、“Madness（狂気）” という曲があります。賛美歌と聞いて多くの人が思い浮かべる穏やかな印象とは少し異なりますが、今の世相を思うと妙に心に響く題名でもあります。今月はこの曲も歌ってみようかと思っています（下のリンクをご参照ください）。
どうぞお気軽にご参加ください。皆さんのお好きな曲も、ぜひ歌わせてください。

The third Sunday of the month is our Sacred Harp singing, but we also sing from that other four-shape book, The Shenandoah Harmony. The songs of both books have been put online for you to browse and practice. Some are very different from what you’d find in a church hymnal. “Madness,” for example, isn’t exactly the soothing image people have of hymns, but it matches the times we’re in, so I thought I’d try that (see above link). Come sing with us and we’ll indulge you with your song too.
